Our women's care program

Our family of hospitals is proud to provide a wide range of women's health services. We also continually seek out new ways to expand our offerings to you, so that you have access to advanced treatments and care options.

Breast cancer care

Our hospitals offer comprehensive treatments if you have a breast cancer diagnosis. Led by an interdisciplinary team of oncologists, specialists and nurses, our breast cancer program provides time-tested therapies, including radiation and chemotherapy. We offer the latest surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery, to minimize scarring while removing cancerous cells. Additionally, our nurse navigators help you and your family through the treatment and recovery phases and connect you to supportive resources in the community.

Imaging for breast cancer

We take your breast health very seriously. Our dynamic breast cancer screening program includes imaging services such as 3D mammograms, breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and interventional procedures. We also provide screening programs if you are at high risk for breast cancer.

Gynecological surgery

As part of our robot-assisted surgery program, we offer procedures to treat gynecological conditions, including cancers of the reproductive organs. Our surgeons are highly trained to use this advanced technology and proud to be able to offer you its benefits, such as shorter recovery times and less scarring.

Maternity care

Our hospitals' award-winning maternity services make us a leader in the field of women's care. Mission Hospital and Mission Hospital McDowell were named Newsweek’s Best Maternity Hospitals in 2021. Mission Hospital also received the Five-Star Breastfeeding-Friendly Designation from the North Carolina Maternity Center. We offer many labor and delivery features, including:
