Featured services

We are proud to offer you and your family truly comprehensive healthcare services and programs. Some of our specialties include:

Emergency Care

Being a designated Critical Access Hospital — recognized as the only hospital option within at least a 35 mile radius — is not a responsibility we take lightly. We understand the stress that accompanies medical emergencies, and are prepared to provide prompt, compassionate care when you or a loved one experiences an unexpected issue. Typical emergencies we treat include broken bones, chest pain, poisoning, seizures and severe wounds or burns. We also are equipped with a Mountain Area Medical Airlift (MAMA), a 24/7 regional helicopter service that is available to you anywhere within 150 miles of Asheville.

Surgery

Our general surgeons provide treatment for a range of conditions related primarily to gastrointestinal and urologic complications. Depending on the type and severity of your condition, we use traditional, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques, with minimally invasive methods being our overall preference.
