Maternal fetal medicine services
Perinatologists, also called maternal fetal medicine doctors, specialize in caring for you if you have a high-risk pregnancy. Our specialists provide care throughout your pregnancy, working alongside your OB/GYN and continuing care through labor, delivery and postpartum.
Perinatal navigator
Whether a maternal or fetal diagnosis, it is often overwhelming and challenging to follow all the recommendations and referrals offered by your provider. Our perinatal navigator will support you and your family throughout your pregnancy, supporting you before, during and after delivery with care that includes:
- Answering your questions or concerns about delivery
- Familiarizing our internal teams with your health through regular multidisciplinary rounds
- Following up after delivery with specialists
- Having introductory conversations regarding services and your communication preferences
- Providing regular touchpoints with you to answer questions and concerns
- Scheduling specialist appointments

Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
Should your infant need extra care after they're born, our NICU at Mission Hospital offers attentive, high-quality medical services. We combine state-of-the-art medical technology with gentle, around-the-clock monitoring and treatments. Additionally, our neonatologists and specially trained nurses understand how stressful it can be to have a baby in the NICU, and are available to answer your questions and provide necessary care.
