Justin and Doris
When a deaf couple needed support after Hurricane Helen, Justin and Doris were ready to care like family.
Justin and Doris, employees from Mission Urology showed us a great example of caring like family in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
A deaf couple came into the clinic and were later scheduled at the hospital for an additional appointment. However, between the language barrier and the everchanging effects of Hurricane Helene, the couple were unable to find where to go.
Justin and Doris were quick to support them by engaging with interpreter services, taking them on a shuttle to the hospital and even feeding them in the cafeteria when they appeared hungry after having limited resources.
"Hurricane Helene has physically torn our communities, but not the spirit and empathy of the care we all give our patients everyday. We are all proud to be Mission/HCA employees," said Janet McCall, Practice Manager at Mission Urology.
