Our pediatric behavioral health services
Our care team creates a calm, safe environment to help your child or teen develop emotional regulation and distress-tolerance skills.
Inpatient pediatric mental health program
We offer the region's only dedicated inpatient program for young people suffering from severe emotional disturbances or mental illnesses. In our nurturing environment, your child will receive intensive supervision, short-term help with medications, evaluation of additional medical problems, as well as personalized therapy.
Our inpatient program offers an eight-bed unit for children ages 4 to 11 years old, as well as a separate, 9-bed unit for adolescents ages 12 to 18 years old. During treatment, your child may participate in a variety of therapies, including:
- Activity therapy
- Group therapy
- Individual therapy
- Music and art therapy
- Patient and family education
- Pet therapy
- Psycho-educational groups
- Psychopharmacology-medication therapy
- Relaxation therapy
- Skills development with wellness-centered models
