Imaging services

Imaging exams allow radiologists (imaging specialists) and physicians to view structures and activity within the body. This is vital for diagnosis but also for treatment, to ensure your care plan is working as it should.

Imaging center in Brevard, North Carolina

We help inform your diagnosis and treatment to improve your recovery process.

Medical imaging should be comfortable, convenient and safe. At Transylvania Regional Hospital, we take this to heart, striving to deliver swift answers to your medical concerns in a caring environment.

Types of medical imaging we offer

We provide both inpatient and outpatient medical imaging services to assist your doctor in screening for serious illnesses or determining the best path of treatment.

Diagnostic imaging tests we offer

Using advanced imaging techniques, we are able to detect many diseases early, when they are typically the most treatable. These same imaging techniques can also be used to find out if your treatment is working the way it should, or if it needs to be adjusted.

These are some common imaging services we provide:

  • Breast imaging, including 3D mammography
  • Computerized tomography (CT) scans, including low-dose CT (LDCT)
  • Dual X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA), also known as bone density scans
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Nuclear medicine
