Contact a patient

Patients choose whether they want to be listed in our directory and whether they want to receive calls while in the hospital. If a patient decides to be in the directory, then we can tell callers their room number. If a patient does not choose to be listed in the directory, then we must tell anyone who calls for information that we have no listing for a patient of that name. This is determined by federal law designed to protect patient privacy.

If you know the room number of a patient, you can dial (828) 659-5, plus the three-digit room number. To contact the hospital switchboard, please call (828) 659-5000.

Parking and campus map

A free parking lot is available for all patients, families, and visitors. For assistance or to report a security concern, please call the switchboard at (828) 659-5000. Please remember to lock your car and keep valuables out of sight. Campus maps are available at the information desk in the main lobby. You can also download a campus map here.
