Outpatient physical rehabilitation

An outpatient rehabilitation program allows patients to stay at home during their recovery and receive therapy on their schedule. It is usually less intensive than inpatient rehabilitation.

Outpatient rehabilitation services we offer

We believe in the power of dedicated, one-on-one attention. Regardless of the type or severity of your condition, we teach you personalized recovery strategies so you can continue to heal and thrive long after you have left the hospital.

Amputation therapy

If you have undergone an amputation, we work to address any concerns you may have regarding any psychological concerns, best practices for rehabilitation, as well as orthotic and prosthetic fittings and how those choices can impact future activity. Beginning targeted exercise as soon as possible following amputation is critical for regaining productivity, enhancing daily life skills and maximizing independence.

Brain and spine injury rehabilitation

If you have experienced a traumatic injury to your brain or spine, reintegrating into daily life may be difficult at first. But our dedicated occupational therapy experts are here for you every step of the way as you return home. Depending on the type of injury you have sustained, there may be certain bodily functions that cannot return to pre-injury levels. We not only work with you to restore the functions that can be rehabilitated, but also educate you on strategies for completing tasks differently when the necessary functions may be permanently altered.

Cancer rehabilitation

Cancer treatment is an all-consuming endeavor. But as your physicians and surgeons treat your cancer directly, rehabilitation helps you regain and maintain your lifestyle, while reducing fatigue and boosting your immune system. In addition to individualized exercise regimens, we offer lymphedema therapy, nutritional counseling and stress management. If you have been diagnosed with head and neck cancer, we also provide speech therapy, including specialized swallowing exercises and education.

Speech therapy

Our team of speech pathologists provides education, treatment and counseling to regain speech and swallowing capabilities following an injury or unmanageable illness. After a thorough evaluation of comprehension and cognitive ability, your treatment plan may involve swallow therapy, voice therapy and vocal loudness therapy for Parkinson's disease.

Sports medicine services

Maintaining an active lifestyle is a positive modification to make, whether or not you've had an injury or illness. If you have sustained an injury due to increased physical activity, our sports medicine specialists offer pain management therapies and targeted exercises, as well as splinting and casting. Additionally, we offer bike fit services, pool therapy and running analyses for future techniques.

Stroke rehabilitation

While stroke rehabilitation cannot reverse brain damage, it can help you regain primary function and skills, all while radically decreasing possible long-term effects. We work to make sure that as long you are home, you are safe, aware, alert and independent. While you may require additional help at home at first, our hope is that over time, you are able to return to caring for yourself.
