Referrals
Asheville Specialty Hospital accepts referrals from acute care hospitals. If your condition qualifies you for treatment in a long-term acute care hospital, we will work to transition you to our care.
Getting a referral
Asheville Specialty Hospital accepts referrals from acute care hospitals. Referrals can be made by a case manager or social worker on behalf of a provider or family member. You may also make referrals electronically or by fax.
Assessment
Once we receive a referral, a member of our liaison team will review it to determine if your condition qualifies you for treatment in a long-term acute care hospital.
Transitioning to our hospital
If you meet the criteria, we will coordinate with your current hospital to transition you to our care.
